Changing an Instance from Single-Node to Primary/Standby Deployment

This section describes how to change an instance from single-node to primary/standby node.

  • Only CBH instances of the latest edition can be changed from single-node to primary/standby deployment. You can upgrade the instance edition if needed by referring to Upgrading the Instance Version.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CBH console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region.
  3. Locate the row containing the target instance. In the Operation column, choose More > Change to Primary/Standby.
  4. On the displayed page, specify Standby Instance AZ and click Next.
  5. Confirm the order details on the details page and click Submit.

    After the order is submitted, the Status of the instance changes to Creating the standby instance and then Configuring HA.
