Resetting the Login Method for User admin
This topic walks you through how to reset the login method for user admin in case the admin account failed one or more multifactor authentication factors.
Procedure
- Log in to the management console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region or project. In the upper left corner of the page, click
and select a region. Choose Security & Compliance > Cloud Bastion Host to go to the CBH instance management page.

Description
Instance Name
Instance name you specify. It cannot be modified after the instance is created.
Status
Status of the instance, including the status of the standby node.
Instance Type
Instance type you select.
Login Address
Private IP address of an instance.
EIP
EIP of the instance.
Billing Mode
Billing mode of the current instance.
Enterprise Project
Enterprise project that the instance belongs to.
- Locate the row containing the instance for which you want to reset login passwords. In the Operation column, choose More > Reset > Reset Login Method for Admin.
- In the displayed dialog box, click OK to reset the login method for user admin.

After the login method is reset, a password is required for user admin to log in to the CBH system. For details, see Configuring Multifactor Verification.
