Instance Tags
Scenarios
Tags can be used to classify and identify your bastion host instances, helping you manage your instances by category and layer.
A tag consists of a key and a value. For basic categorization, you only need to enter a key. For more granular management, you can specify both a key and a value to differentiate resources.
Notes and Constraints
You can add up to 20 tags to each instance.
Adding a Tag to an Instance
- Log in to the CBH console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - Click the name of the target instance to go to its details page.
- On the Tag tab page, click Edit Tag.
- Click Add Tag and enter the tag key and value.

Description
Tag Key
A tag key can contain a maximum of 128 characters. It cannot start or end with a space, and cannot begin with _sys_. It can contain letters in any language, digits, spaces, and the following special characters: _.:=+-@
Tag Value
- A tag value can contain a maximum of 255 characters. It can contain letters in any language, digits, spaces, and the following special characters: _.:/=+-@
- It can be left blank.
- Click OK.
In the tag list, you can view the tags added to the instance.
Searching for an Instance by Tag
- Log in to the CBH console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the search box, select a tag key and value under Resource Tag. The instances that meet the search criteria are displayed in the instance list.Figure 1 Searching for an instance by tag
Deleting an Instance Tag
- Log in to the CBH console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - Click the name of the target instance to go to its details page.
- On the Tag tab page, click Edit Tag.
- Click Delete next to a tag. Confirm the information and click OK.
The deleted tag is not displayed in the tag list.
