Instance Tags

Scenarios

Tags can be used to classify and identify your bastion host instances, helping you manage your instances by category and layer.

A tag consists of a key and a value. For basic categorization, you only need to enter a key. For more granular management, you can specify both a key and a value to differentiate resources.

Notes and Constraints

You can add up to 20 tags to each instance.

Adding a Tag to an Instance

1. Log in to the CBH console.
2. Click in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region.
3. Click the name of the target instance to go to its details page.
4. On the Tag tab page, click Edit Tag.
5. Click Add Tag and enter the tag key and value.

   Parameter	Description
   Tag Key	A tag key can contain a maximum of 128 characters. It cannot start or end with a space, and cannot begin with _sys_. It can contain letters in any language, digits, spaces, and the following special characters: _.:=+-@
   Tag Value	A tag value can contain a maximum of 255 characters. It can contain letters in any language, digits, spaces, and the following special characters: _.:/=+-@ It can be left blank.

6. Click OK.

   In the tag list, you can view the tags added to the instance.

Searching for an Instance by Tag

1. Log in to the CBH console.
2. Click in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region.
3. In the search box, select a tag key and value under Resource Tag.
   The instances that meet the search criteria are displayed in the instance list.

Deleting an Instance Tag

1. Log in to the CBH console.
2. Click in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region.
3. Click the name of the target instance to go to its details page.
4. On the Tag tab page, click Edit Tag.
5. Click Delete next to a tag. Confirm the information and click OK.

   The deleted tag is not displayed in the tag list.
