PERF03-01 Selecting Appropriate Compute Services

  • Key strategies

    Select appropriate compute cloud services based on application characteristics. The following factors are considered when you select compute cloud services:

    • Application deployment mode
    • Service migration mode (for example, migration or reconstruction to the cloud)

    If the service is deployed on a VM in the Internet data center (IDC), the application system is outdated, and the service is not planned for reconstruction, it is advised to deploy the application in the original IDC deployment mode using ECS or BMS to meet the performance requirements of the application and service.

    If the service side also needs to be containerized and microservices are reconstructed when the service is migrated to the cloud, select containerization (CCE/CCI) for deployment.

    If the service is microservice-based, it is advised to use the container service (CCE/CCI) for deployment.
