Viewing the Call Relationships Between Components in the Topology
The topology displays the call relationships between services within a period. The statistics can be collected from the caller or the callee. You can also view the trend.
Procedure
- Log in to the APM console.
- Click
on the left and choose Management & Governance > Application Performance Management. - In the navigation pane, choose Performance Monitoring > Components.
- In the filter bar on the left, select a region and an application.
- Click a component name in the Component column. The component details page is displayed.
- Switch to the Topology tab page. The call trend of the selected instance is displayed. Figure 1 Component topology
- Click a line in the diagram. The relationships between components or between components and instances are displayed.
- The diagram includes the number of requests, average RT, error rate, and corresponding line graphs.
- Click the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the line graph and select an instance.
- Click
in the upper right corner of the line graph. All instance views corresponding to a parameter are displayed.
- The diagram shows the call relationships between components and enables you to check the traces between components.
- The function of redirecting to the trace page is supported only by Agent 2.5.3 or later.
- Click View Trace. The trace page is displayed, showing the trace information between components.
- The diagram includes the number of requests, average RT, error rate, and corresponding line graphs.
Other Operations
- Click
next to Display only calls between components. The button will then turn blue, showing only the calls between components. Click
next to Display only calls between components. The button will then turn gray, showing the component call details. - Click Show All to display all call relationships of the selected instance in a specified period. Click Reset Layout to restore the initial topology.
- Select the refresh mode. Default: Manual Refresh. In addition, Automatic refresh in 1 minute, Automatic refresh in 5 minutes, and Automatic refresh in 15 minutes are supported.
- Select a time range. Default: Last 20 minutes.
Options: Last 3 minutes, Last 5 minutes, Last 10 minutes, Last 20 minutes, Last 1 hour, Last 3 hours, Last 6 hours, Last day, Today, Yesterday, Last week, Last month, and Custom.
