Replicating Backups Across Clouds
After the replication vault and cross-cloud replication credential are created, you can replicate backups across clouds.
You can select a backup vault and manually replicate it across clouds. Alternatively, you can configure a replication policy to periodically replicate backups to the target cloud.
Constraints
- Only cloud server backups and SFS Turbo backups can be replicated across clouds.
- A server backup can be replicated only when it meets all the following conditions:
- It is an ECS backup.
- It contains system disk data.
- It is in the Available state.
- An SFS Turbo backup can be replicated only when it meets all the following conditions:
- It is generated from an SFS Turbo file system.
- It is in the Available state.
- Backups replicated to the destination cloud can be replicated back to the source cloud.
- A backup cannot be replicated to multiple accounts.
Creating a Cross-Cloud Replication Task
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console and select the region where the backups to be replicated are located. - Click the Backups tab. Locate the desired backup. For details, see Viewing a Backup.
- Choose More > Create Replica in the Operation column of the backup.
- In the Create Replica dialog box, enable Cross-Cloud Replication. Set cross-cloud replication parameters, as described in Table 1.

Only the clouds that support replication are displayed.
Destination Region
Region to which backups are replicated.
Only the regions that support replication are displayed.
Cross-Cloud Replication Credential Name
Select the cross-cloud replication credential created for the target cloud.

Select the hybrid cloud 2.0 replication vault created for the target cloud.
- Click OK.
- After the replication is complete, switch to the destination region of the target cloud, choose Hybrid Cloud Backups 2.0 in the navigation pane, and view the replicated backup on the Backups page. You can then use the backup to create images or SFS Turbo file systems.
You can view the replication details in the Replication History of the backup details.
