Creating Cross-Cloud Replication Credentials

Before performing a cross-cloud replication, you need to create cross-cloud replication credentials on the source cloud to authenticate the target cloud account.

Prerequisites

You need to obtain the account ID and AK/SK of the target cloud. For details, see "Obtaining the Account Name and Account ID" and "Obtaining the AK/SK" in API Signature Guide.

Creating Cross-Cloud Replication Credentials

  1. Log in to the CBR console.

    1. Log in to the management console.
    2. In the upper left corner, click and select a region.
    3. Click and choose Storage > Cloud Backup and Recovery. Choose Settings.

  2. On the Cross-Cloud Replication Credentials page, click Create Cross-Cloud Replication Credentials in the upper right corner.
  3. Set mandatory parameters for creating a cross-cloud replication credential.

    Cross-Cloud Replication Credential Name

    The name can contain 1 to 64 characters. Only letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-) are allowed.

    Target Cloud

    Huawei Cloud

    Recipient of the cross-cloud replication operation. Once a credential is created, the target cloud cannot be changed.

    Account ID

    -

    Account ID of the recipient (the target cloud). For details, see "Obtaining the Account Name and Account ID" in the API Signature Guide.

    Once a credential is created, the account ID cannot be changed.

    AK of the Target Cloud

    -

    AK of the recipient (the target cloud). For details, see "Obtaining an AK/SK" in the API Signature Guide.

    SK of the Target Cloud

    -

    SK of the recipient (the target cloud). For details, see "Obtaining an AK/SK" in the API Signature Guide.

  4. Click OK.

    CBR does not display the AK/SK created. For account security, keep the AK/SK secure.
