Will Backups Be Retained After My RDS DB Instance Is Deleted?
If your RDS DB instance is deleted, its manual backups are retained by default and will be billed based on the OBS pricing details. If you do not need the backups anymore, delete them manually. If your instance is frozen, its backups are not billed.
Automated backups, binlog backups, and their related files are automatically deleted.
