Creating a Scrum Project and a Work Item
It is always a challenge for efficient team collaboration when developers are located in different offices and use different tools and environments. Enterprises also need to tackle rapidly changing customer requirements and frequent reworks with fast responses. CodeArts Req enables simple but efficient collaboration and offers cloud-based file hosting where documents can be centrally managed, so enterprises can enhance team collaboration, sharing, and consistency management.
This introductory tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a work item for a Scrum project in CodeArts Req, and provide a quick and comprehensive overview of managing Scrum projects.
Prerequisites
- You have registered with Huawei Cloud and completed real-name authentication. If you do not have a HUAWEI ID yet, follow these steps to create one:
- Visit Huawei Cloud official website.
- Click Sign Up and create your account as instructed.
Once your account is created, the system automatically redirects you to your personal information page.
- Complete individual or enterprise real-name authentication. For details, see Real-Name Authentication.
- You have enabled CodeArts Free Edition or purchased CodeArts Req Basic Edition.
- You have purchased CodeArts Free Edition. If not, purchase it by referring to Purchasing a CodeArts Package.
Creating a Scrum Project
- Log in to the Huawei Cloud console with your Huawei Cloud account.
- Click
in the upper left corner and choose Developer Services > CodeArts from the service list.
- Click Access Service. Access the CodeArts homepage.
- Click Create Project. Select the Scrum project template and click Select. The Create Project page is displayed.
- Set Project Name to Scrum01 and retain the default values for other parameters.
- Click OK to access the project.
Creating a Work Item
- Go to the Scrum01 project homepage and choose Work > Work Items.
- Click Create Work Item and select Story. On the story creation page, set parameters by referring to the following table.
