Service Overview

In the wave of digital transformation, enterprise cloudification has become an irreversible trend. However, how to quickly, efficiently, and smoothly complete cloud transformation is always a major challenge for customers.

Huawei Cloud does not have a unified portal for enterprises. To supplement the professional service capabilities of survey, evaluation, planning, and design in the early stage of the cloud migration solution, solve the pain points of enterprise cloud migration solution planning and design, and accelerate enterprise cloud migration, Huawei Cloud launches the professional service of IaaS Adoption Planning and Design (IaaSAPD). Based on excellent architecture methodologies and rich industry practices, this service provides enterprises with full-process guidance from readiness evaluation to architecture design and pilot application migration, helping enterprises understand the objectives and concepts of Huawei Cloud architecture design, improve IT personnel's understanding of the cloud, and accelerate enterprise digital transformation. Based on the current service status of enterprises, the cloud architecture planning and design and cloud migration path planning are provided to enhance enterprises' confidence in cloud migration, help customers build a stable and elastic cloud architecture, reduce cloud migration risks, and accelerate service innovation.

IaaS Survey and Evaluation

Iaas Survey and Evaluation-Standard

Collect basic enterprise resource information. (Number of hosts, specifications, version, and hard disk capacity) Analyzes the feasibility of cloud migration, recommends cloud resource specifications, and calculates costs, helping enterprises better plan and make decisions on cloud migration.

If the number of applications does not exceed 5 and the number of hosts does not exceed 100, the excess applications are sold as add-on incremental packages.

If customers want to evaluate the platform readiness in terms of IT governance, security, O&M, basic resources, and service continuity and identify pain points in cloud migration, they can select the cloud infrastructure survey and evaluation service to help customers identify potential problems and provide professional suggestions, making full preparations for cloud migration.

Customers can select the Standard or Professional based on the service content to meet the infrastructure survey requirements of different dimensions. The incremental package provides the evaluation and diagnosis service with extra duration.

Iaas Survey and Evaluation-Professional

Survey the enterprise organizational architecture and service architecture, evaluate and diagnose the enterprise platform from the dimensions of IT governance, security, O&M, basic resources, and service continuity based on the excellent architecture methodology, provide optimization suggestions based on the current situation, and output a professional platform readiness survey and evaluation report.

If the number of applications does not exceed 5 and the number of hosts does not exceed 100, the excess applications are sold as add-on incremental packages.

Iaas Survey and Evaluation-Incremental Package

Prerequisite: The IaaS Survey and Evaluation-Basic should be purchased first.

Additional survey and evaluation is required for complex customer business systems.

Cloudification Maturity Evaluation-Standard

Based on the cloudification maturity evaluation model, the system systematically evaluates the current cloudification situation of enterprises from the dimensions of IT governance, security, O&M, and high availability, helping enterprises comprehensively understand their current cloudification level, identify gaps with industry benchmarks, and guide high-level strategic decision-making. Maturity evaluation from the following dimensions is provided:

  1. IT governance maturity evaluation: The HUAWEI CLOUD IT governance maturity evaluation model is used to diagnose the IT governance maturity of enterprises, helping enterprises identify problems and risks, improve decision-making quality, optimize resource allocation, and improve competitiveness, thereby achieving long-term sustainable development of enterprises.
  2. Security maturity evaluation: Use the HUAWEI CLOUD security maturity evaluation model to diagnose the current security maturity of enterprises, measure and improve the effectiveness and maturity of their information security management systems, and provide improvement directions and suggestions.
  3. O&M maturity evaluation: Use the HUAWEI CLOUD O&M maturity evaluation model to diagnose enterprise O&M maturity, identify bottlenecks in enterprise O&M management, and provide improvement directions and suggestions.
  4. HA maturity evaluation: The HUAWEI CLOUD HA maturity evaluation model is used to deeply analyze and evaluate enterprises' high reliability from each dimension, helping enterprises identify their advantages and disadvantages in high reliability design and identify potential risks and bottlenecks. and provide direction and suggestions for improvement.

If customers need to evaluate the cloudification maturity, understand their cloudification level, and identify the gap with industry benchmarks, they can select the iaas Cloudification Maturity Evaluation service. The nine-dimensional maturity diagnosis model help customers comprehensively understand the current cloudification level and gaps and guide customers to migrate services to the cloud.

Big data maturity evaluation: With the Huawei Cloud big data maturity evaluation model, enterprises can understand their capabilities in data collection, storage, processing, and analysis, and comprehensively understand their capabilities and weaknesses in the big data field. In this way, enterprises can formulate corresponding strategies and plans to improve their big data capabilities and competitive advantages.
  2. Database maturity evaluation: The Huawei Cloud database maturity evaluation model is used to diagnose the running status of the current database system and provide improvement suggestions on database performance and security.
  3. Cloud native maturity evaluation: Huawei Cloud's cloud native maturity evaluation model helps enterprises comprehensively understand the current status of technology applications, organizational capabilities, and process maturity in the cloud native field, identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and provide scientific basis for subsequent technical optimization and strategic decision-making.
  4. Application modernization maturity evaluation: The Huawei Cloud application modernization maturity evaluation model is used to diagnose the technical capabilities and levels during application modernization, providing guidance for enterprise application modernization.
  5. DevOps maturity evaluation: The Huawei Cloud DevOps maturity evaluation model is used to diagnose the R&D status of an enterprise, identify the gap between the enterprise and industry benchmarks, and formulate targeted improvement plans.

IaaS Plan and Design

Iaas Plan and Design-Standard

Based on the survey and evaluation results of the overall platform status of the enterprise and the three cloud migration methodologies and best practices of HUAWEI CLOUD, the following planning and design solutions are provided:

  1. Target deployment architecture design: Select databases and cloud services based on service requirements, and design the cloud deployment architecture at the application layer, access layer, data layer, and middleware layer.
  2. Cloud security architecture design: Help enterprises design security architectures for technology implementation in terms of networks, hosts, and data, and ensure secure and reliable operations on the enterprise cloud with effective security governance.
  3. Cloud O&M architecture design: Based on the best practices of SRE O&M on HUAWEI CLOUD, help enterprises customize the O&M system in the cloud era, covering routine O&M activities such as monitoring, logs, and alarms.
  4. Cloud network architecture design: Provide cloud networking design suggestions, network direction design, and network security protection resources, and design migration private lines based on actual service requirements.

In addition to the standard edition, the following planning and design solutions are provided:

  1. IT governance design: Based on the customer's current situation and requirements, design organization levels and accounts for the customer based on the service architecture and IT functions, and provide unified identity management and access control for multiple accounts.
  2. HA planning and design: Plan and design DR policies, technical policies, and recovery plans in terms of service impact, risk analysis, and feasibility based on the DR and backup construction and O&M of the same industry to ensure high availability of cloud services.
  3. Cost optimization planning and design: helps enterprises establish cost forecasting and alarm mechanisms based on the service allocation architecture, and plan and design cost optimization management through resource optimization and architecture optimization.

Iaas Plan and Design-Enabling

Cloud adoption senior expert Provides cloud infrastructure enablement services, including services related to cloud migration design in addition to the standard and professional editions of cloud infrastructure planning and design. IaaS Environment and POC Plan

Iaas Environment and Enabling-Standard

Cloud adoption expert teams help customers quickly build and configure cloud infrastructure environments that meet business requirements. The service content includes survey and evaluation of pilot applications, planning and design, and cloud infrastructure environment planning and configuration support to ensure the normal running of the customer's basic environment.

Basic requirement analysis and cloud architecture design: Provide customers with standard cloud architecture design for pilot applications that meet service requirements.

Basic environment verification: provides customers with environment deployment, configuration, and verification to ensure the normal running of the basic environment.

Scale restriction: The number of component module type (ELB, host/container, middleware, database, and storage) No more than 20.

If customers need the survey and evaluation, planning and design, and cloud environment configuration services for pilot applications, they can choose the Iaas Environment and Enabling-Standard.

If further pilot application migration and migration solution verification are required, they can choose the Iaas Environment and Enabling-Professional to provide coach-based migration verification support for customers through expert guidance and practice.

Customers can select the Standard or Professional based on the service content. The incremental package provides environment and enabling services for extra duration.

Iaas Environment and Enabling-Professional

In addition to the standard edition, the following services are provided:

In-depth requirement analysis and customized design: Provide customized cloud architecture design for pilot applications based on enterprise requirements.

Solution feasibility verification for pilot applications: Assist the customer in deploying, testing, and optimizing the pilot environment, and verify and ensure the feasibility and efficient running of one or two key applications.

Scale restrictions: The number of hosts no more than 20, and the storage space no more than 10 TB, and the single database instance no more than 200 GB.

Iaas Environment and Enabling-Incremental package

The customer's service system is complex, which requires additional environment planning and configuration workload.

Each time 2 hosts are added, or each time the storage space is increased by 1 TB, or each time the database instance is increased by 20 GB.

Inter-Region Network Acceleration Plan

Inter-Region Network Acceleration Plan and Service Package-Basic

Cloud adopt team provides customers with a one-stop network acceleration solution from requirement evaluation to design and implementation. It comprehensively evaluates customer network requirements (such as bandwidth, reliability, and security) and helps customers customize cost-effective and reliable solutions. In addition, it provides one-month inter-region network acceleration provisioning service to ensure stable and efficient cross-region network transmission.

Basic bandwidth (100 Mbit/s, 300 Mbit/s, and 500 Mbit/s) acceleration solutions are provided based on the customer's actual business situation and requirements.

Inter-Region Network Acceleration Plan and Service Package-Incremental

Medium-level bandwidth (1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s) acceleration solutions are provided based on the customer's actual business situation and requirements.

Inter-Region Network Acceleration Plan and Service Package-Advanced

Advanced bandwidth (40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s) acceleration solutions are provided based on the customer's actual business situation and requirements.

Prerequisites

  • Customers need to apply for the IaaSAPD service at least 15 days in advance to evaluate customer business goals and service timelines.
  • When providing customers with the IaaSAPD service, we require customer authorization to perform the service when accessing the business environment of customers, and we also require the cooperation of the personnel from customers, including business status surveys, demand collection, solution design and review, and solution acceptance.

Based on the cloudification maturity evaluation model, the system assesses the enterprise cloudification status from dimensions such as IT governance, security, O&M, and high availability, helping enterprises comprehensively understand their cloudification level and output cloudification maturity reports.

    • IaaS Plan and Design

      Based on the survey and evaluation of the overall enterprise platform status, the customer's current cloud deployment architecture, cloud O&M architecture, cloud security architecture, cloud network design architecture, IT governance design, HA planning and design, and cost optimization planning and design are sorted out based on the Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Migration Framework, provide the optimization design solution and migration verification solution, and output the Cloud Platform Adoption Plan and Design Report.

    • IaaS Environment and POC Plan

      Based on the customer's requirements, provide the migration environment planning and resource allocation for the pilot application, set up and configure the migration environment, enable the migration of the pilot application based on the pilot application planning and actual solution design, output the Cloud Adoption Environment and Enabling Report, and provide technical support for the subsequent pilot migration enabling environment.

    • Inter-Region Network Acceleration Plan

      Understand the current situation and service requirements of enterprise networks and design network acceleration solutions. Based on the network acceleration solution, the network acceleration service is provided for different bandwidth requirements between regions.

  2. Service Content Not Covered
    1. Software design, transformation, installation and deployment that are not within the scope of IaaSAPD, such as third-party security software, application software, and network software purchased by customers.
    2. The cloud service expenditures required for verifying the specific solutions of IaaSAPD shall be borne by customers, such as Entity Relationship (ER), Direct Connection, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Clash for Windows (CFW), Well-Architected Framework, and other cloud service products.
    3. The specific implementation of IaaSAPD is carried out by the cloud service team involved later.
    4. Services beyond the scope of IaaSAPD, such as SecMaster, disaster recovery design, and cloud service (big data, database, etc.) resource usage planning.

    • Configure services according to customer requirements.
