Billing
MgC is free. You only need to pay for the ECS, NAT, LTS, and other service resources used during data migration.
Server Migration
During server migrations, you are billed at standard rates for the resources used. For details, see SMS Billing.
Storage Migration
During object storage migrations, public APIs of Huawei Cloud and source cloud vendors are called, incurring additional costs. For details, see OMS Billing.
Migration Clusters
You are billed for the resources used in your migration clusters.
- Master, migration, and list nodes in migration clusters are all pay-per-use ECSs. These ECSs are billed by the second. You can obtain the hourly price from the ECS pricing details. For details, see ECS Pay-per-Use Billing or ECS Price Calculator.
- Migration over the Internet incurs costs for the NAT gateways used by your migration clusters. These NAT gateways are billed by the day, starting from the date of successful payment. Even if a NAT gateway is used for less than one day, it is still billed for a full day. Creating and deleting NAT gateways in a single day will result in separate full-day costs for each gateway. For details, see NAT Gateway Billing or NAT Gateway Price Calculator.
- Enabling log collection incurs costs for Log Tank Service (LTS) resources. LTS resources are billed by the day, and the daily price is displayed in the LTS pricing details. For details, see LTS Billing or LTS Price Calculator.
Billing example:
If you create a migration cluster with three nodes (ECSs), migrate over the Internet, and enable log collection with LTS, you will need to pay for the ECSs, NAT gateway, and LTS resources used.
Given the price is $7.02 USD/hour per ECS, $2.44 USD/day for the NAT gateway, and $1.03 USD/day for LTS resources, the cluster costs $24.53 USD (7.02 × 3 + 2.44 + 1.03) per hour.
Cross-AZ Migration
During cross-AZ migrations of ECSs, you need to pay for ECS, Image Management Service (IMS), and Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) resources used during the migrations.
- CBR vaults
During a cross-AZ migration of ECSs, if no vault is configured for the source ECSs, MgC creates a vault 1.5 times the combined size of the source ECS disks to facilitate the migration. The vault will be automatically deleted after the migration is complete.
For details about CBR pricing, see CBR Billing.
- Images
During a cross-AZ migration, full-ECS images are created for the source ECSs to facilitate the migration.
For more details on IMS pricing, see IMS Billing.
- Target ECSs
MgC cannot migrate source servers to existing ECSs. It creates pay-per-use ECSs as target servers. After the service cutover is complete, you can change the billing mode of the target ECSs from pay-per-use to yearly/monthly.
For the pricing details of pay-per-use ECSs, see Pay-per-Use Billing.

The prices listed in the documentation are estimates only. The actual prices may vary.
