What Can I Do If a Migration Task Fails Due to Inconsistent Encryption Status?

Before a source object is stored into the destination OBS bucket, OMS checks whether the encryption setting of the migration task is inconsistent with that of the destination bucket. If they are inconsistent, the migration task is determined failed. You can see the reported error message in the failed object list.

  • If default encryption is enabled for the destination bucket and you want to retain this setting, create a task with the same source and destination bucket as the failed migration task. In the second step, select KMS for Data Encryption in the Destination Configuration area.
  • If default encryption is enabled for the destination bucket but you do not want to encrypt the migrated objects, disable default encryption for the bucket and restart the failed task.
  • If default encryption is not enabled for the destination bucket, submit a service ticket to seek Huawei Cloud technical support.
