Impact on the System
When the fan module fails to work normally, card temperature will increase, which may result in packet loss or even more seriously, failure of the switch to respond or unexpected restart.
Possible Causes
The cable of the fan module was connected loosely or the fan hardware was faulty.
Procedure
- Remove and insert the fan module and check whether the fault is rectified.
(1) If the fault persists, the fan hardware is faulty. In this case, replace the fan module.
(2) If the fault is rectified, go to Step 2.
