Possible Causes
Cause 1:
The PD may not comply with standards, whereas the switch supports 802.3af and 802.3at. In this case, the PD class cannot be identified by the switch.
Cause 2:
The PD hardware is faulty.
Cause 3:
The PoE chip of the device is faulty.
Procedure
- Run the poe high-inrush enable slot slot-id command in the system view to allow high inrush current during power-on and then check whether the alarm is cleared.
If so, the alarm handling ends.
If not, go to step 2.
- Replace the PD with a standard PD and then check whether the alarm is cleared.
If so, the alarm handling ends.
If not, collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
