What Do I Do If a DB Instance Is Locked?

  1. On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the Basic Information page.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Parameters.

  3. Set password_lock_time to 0 and failed_login_attempts to 0 to unlock the database.

    For database security purposes, change the parameter values to the default values after the password is reset.

  4. In the DB Information area, click Reset Password next to the Administrator field.
  5. Enter a new password and confirm the password.

  6. Change the values of password_lock_time and failed_login_attempts to the default values.
