Image Registration
This document describes FAQs during image registration and related authorization description.
What Is Image Registration?
Frequently-used images are preset in ModelArts. However, if you have special requirements for deep learning engines or development libraries, the preset images cannot meet your requirements. To resolve this issue, ModelArts allows image customization so that you can customize runtime engines. If a custom image needs to be used on ModelArts, register it using the SWR access path of the image on the Image Management page.
What Actions Are Involved for Image Registration?
When a custom image is registered, the image uploaded to SWR may be private. In this case, ModelArts may not have the permission to use the image when creating a notebook instance. Therefore, during image registration, automatic authorization is used to share the image only with ModelArts. You can review the sharing permission of the private image on the SWR page at any time, and edit or delete the image.
What Should I Do If the Image to Be Registered Is in Another Region?
You can configure automatic image synchronization on the SWR page. In this way, the newly pushed images are automatically synchronized to image repositories in other regions. For details, see Configuring Automatic Image Synchronization Between Regions.
What Should I Do After the Image Fault Is Rectified?
After the image fault is rectified, click the image name to go to the image details page. Click Sync in the Operation column to refresh the image status.
