Parameter Explanation

  • Cross-VPC Access Protocol

    Fixed once the Kafka instance is created.

    • When plaintext access is enabled and ciphertext access is disabled, PLAINTEXT is required to access a Kafka instance across VPCs.
    • When ciphertext access is enabled and the security protocol is SASL_SSL, SASL_SSL is required to access a Kafka instance across VPCs.
    • When ciphertext access is enabled and the security protocol is SASL_PLAINTEXT, SASL_PLAINTEXT is required to access a Kafka instance across VPCs.
