How Do I Distinguish Regular Changes from Emergency Changes?
Differences in Concepts
- Regular changes are non-emergency changes that follow standard procedures for requesting, evaluating, reviewing, prioritizing, planning, testing, implementing, and backtracking.
- Emergency changes are unplanned changes made to handle production-environment or machine unavailability, meet urgent, unscheduled requirements, or address situations that cannot be evaluated or reviewed through standard procedures.
Differences in Review
Review is supported for both regular and emergency changes.
