Which Protocols Does CDN Support?

Domain names whose service area is outside the Chinese mainland or global:

  • CDN supports HTTP and HTTPS. It does not support FTP, TCP, or UDP.
  • WebSocket for whole site acceleration domain names (without special configurations).

Domain names whose service area is the Chinese mainland:

  • For non-whole site acceleration domain names, CDN supports HTTP and HTTPS. It does not support FTP, TCP, UDP, or WebSocket.
  • For whole site acceleration domain names, CDN supports HTTP, HTTPS, and WebSocket. It does not support FTP, TCP, or UDP.
  • CDN supports acceleration using layer 4 protocols, such as proprietary TCP and UDP. This function is in alpha test. For details about the open beta test (OBT) time and enabling method, stay tuned for the service announcement.
Acceleration for requests using the WebSocket protocol is in OBT and is available for free trial.
