Does CDN Support DNS, HttpDNS, and IP302 Scheduling?

Yes. CDN supports domain name server (DNS), HttpDNS, and IP302 scheduling. You can configure DNS scheduling by yourself. To configure HttpDNS or IP302 scheduling, submit a service ticket. The following table lists the differences between the three scheduling types.

Scheduling Type

Description

DNS

A DNS system is a natural distributed structure. Both the clients and local DNS (LDNS) can implement cache. The architecture itself can achieve high scalability and performance. When DNS scheduling is used, CDN determines the client location based on the LDNS address and schedules the request to the nearest server.

HttpDNS

The HttpDNS technology enables clients to bypass carriers' LDNS and directly use HTTP to access the scheduling system and request the optimal access PoP. This prevents service security problems caused by DNS hijacking.

IP302

Client IP addresses and content addresses can be directly obtained, enabling precise scheduling.
