After RDS for SQL Server 2008 R2 goes offline, no more patches or security updates will be provided for this version, and the RDS for SQL Server SLA will no longer be valid.

- Why Will RDS for SQL Server 2008 R2 Be Taken Offline?
The product vendor ended support for SQL Server 2008 R2 on July 9, 2019. Since that date, they have not provided free patches or security updates. They also ended paid extended security updates on July 9, 2022.
- What Should I Do with My DB Instances of RDS for SQL Server 2008 R2 After This Version Goes Offline?
