Creating a VPC, Subnet, and Security Group

  1. Log in to the VPC console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose My VPCs. Click Create VPC in the upper right corner. For details, see Creating a VPC and Subnet.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Security Groups. Click Create Security Group in the upper right corner. For details, see Creating a Security Group. In addition, configure a rule to allow access to port 8000 in the inbound rule, as shown in Figure 1.
