Adding Disk Capacity

Function

With the development of customer services, disk space is more likely to become the bottleneck of storage. When other resources are sufficient, disk scale-out can help you quickly break through the storage bottleneck without interrupting services or wasting CPU and memory resources.

  • Disk capacity expansion can be performed only for standard data warehouses using SSD, stream data warehouse, or hybrid data warehouses. Only version 8.1.1.203 and later are supported.

  • If you are billed pay-per-use with discount packages, after the storage capacity is expanded, the capacity outside your packages will be charged on a pay-per-use basis.

Available storage capacity of a single node after disk scale-out (GB/node)

The capacity must be greater than the valid capacity of a current node and less than or equal to the maximum capacity of a single node, which is determined by the cluster flavor. The capacity to be expanded must be a multiple of the step of a certain flavor. You can query the cluster flavor by referring to Querying Node Types.
