Special Billing Scenarios

Lifecycle Rules

If you configure lifecycle rules to perform actions automatically, you will be billed. The following tables list billable items and their descriptions.

Table 1 Fees related to lifecycle management actions (during action execution)

Delete after expiration

Requests

You are charged for the number of successfully deleted objects.

Storage space

If objects are deleted before they have been stored for the required minimum duration (30 days for Warm storage and 90 days for Cold storage), you will still be billed for a full 30 or 90 days.

Transition from Standard to Warm

Requests

You are charged for the number of successfully transitioned objects.

If N objects are successfully transitioned, you are billed for N requests.

After the transition, object storage fees are calculated based on the Warm storage price.

Data retrieval

After the transition, retrieving Warm objects will be charged based on the object size.

Transition from Standard to Cold

Storage space

After the transition, object storage fees are calculated based on the Cold storage price.

Data retrieval

After the transition, retrieving Cold objects will be charged based on the object size and restoration speed.

Transition from Warm to Cold

Storage space

  1. After the transition, object storage fees are calculated based on the Cold storage price.
  2. If Warm objects are transitioned to Cold ones before they have been stored for the required minimum duration (30 days), you will still be charged for a full 30 days.

Data retrieval

After the transition, retrieving Cold objects will be charged based on the object size and restoration speed.
