Enabling NAT Mapping for Direct Connect

Scenario

If an enterprise network is configured with a firewall, Workspace cannot be directly accessed through the enterprise network, or through the Direct Connect address or Internet address provided by Workspace. In this case, Workspace can be accessed through NAT mapping.

Prerequisites

The Direct Connect access address has been enabled.

Procedure

1. Log in to the console.
2. In the navigation pane, choose Tenant Configuration > Basic Settings.

   The Basic Settings page is displayed.

3. Click NAT Mapping Settings on the right of Direct Connect Access Address. The NAT Mapping Settings page is displayed.
4. Determine whether to enable NAT mapping.
   • : not enabled
   • : enabled

5. Configure NAT mapping.
   • To configure address mapping, perform 6 to 8.
   • To configure port mapping, perform 9 to 11.

6. Click the Address Mapping tab, enter the domain name, IP address, and IP address+port number (ranging from 1 to 65535) in the Address text box, and click OK.
   

   • You can add a maximum of 10 addresses.
   • You can use the mapped IP address to log in to the desktop only when the host of the client access address is the same as the host configured for the address mapping on the Workspace console.
   • When logging in to the client, select the domain name as the host. If you want to use address mapping, use the domain name to configure the mapping.
   • When logging in to the client, select the IP address as the host. If you want to use address mapping, use the IP address to configure the mapping.

7. Click on the left of the added address to expand the address details and configure the address.
   • IP: Customize one.
   • Port: The value ranges from 0 to 65535.
   • vAG Service IP: Select one as required.
     

     • To add data, click Add.

     • To delete unnecessary data, click Delete in the Operation column.
     • After NAT mapping is enabled, when you delete all data or the last data record at a time, the button of confirming the deletion is unavailable and a message is displayed, indicating that no mapping rule is available.

8. Select After NAT mapping is configured, the mapped vAG IP address, instead of the original vAG IP address, will be used to access the desktop. and click OK.
   

   After the configuration is complete, you need to manually create a mapping with the IP address as the Direct Connect access address. You need to use the configured access address to log in from the client to the desktop.

9. Click the Port Mapping tab, select Internet access port or Direct Connect access port from the Port drop-down list, and click OK.
   

   • If Internet access port is selected, you need to manually create the mapping for the IP address and port number to ensure successful login.
   • If Direct Connect access port is selected, you need to manually create the mapping for the IP address and port number to ensure successful login.
   • Port 9445 mapping can be selected only after Internet access is enabled.
   • If both address mapping and port mapping are configured, address mapping has a higher priority.
   • You can use the mapped IP address to log in to the desktop only when the host of the client access address is the same as the host configured for the address mapping on the Workspace console.
   • When logging in to the client, select the domain name as the host. If you want to use address mapping, use the domain name to configure the mapping.
   • When logging in to the client, select the IP address as the host. If you want to use address mapping, use the IP address to configure the mapping.

10. Click on the left of the port to expand the port details and configure the port.
    • IP: Customize one.
    • Port: The value ranges from 0 to 65535.
    • vAG Service IP: Select one as required.
      

      • To add data, click Add.

      • To delete unnecessary data, click Delete in the Operation column.

11. Select After NAT mapping is configured, the mapped vAG IP address, instead of the original vAG IP address, will be used to access the desktop. and click OK.
