Connector Overview

Concepts related to connector functions

  • Collector: A connector defines how data is transferred from the source vendor and product to the destination vendor and product. You can use connectors to connect cloud services, data, and devices.
  • Connection: A connection defines how a connector is connected. This means a connection defines the authentication method and parameters of the source and destination. A connection includes source operation connections and destination operation connections.
  • Operation connection: An operation connection defines the authentication method and parameters, such as AK&SK, username plus password, and cloud service agency authentication methods.

Connector types

  • Built-in connector: The system provides built-in operation connections, built-in connections, and built-in connectors. They cannot be edited, deleted, started, or stopped. You can use them without modification.

Managing connectors

  • Managing Connectors: describes how to view connectors and connector details.
  • Managing Connections: describes how to view connections on the details page of a connector.
  • Managing Operation Connections: describes how to edit or delete a custom operation connection. You can Manage Operation Connections on a connector details page and then edit or delete custom operations as needed.

Notes and Constraints

  • Connectors can run only in regions where FunctionGraph has been deployed. For more information about FunctionGraph, see FunctionGraph. Regions where FunctionGraph has been deployed are listed in the following table.
