Managing Instances

A privacy compliance platform instance serves as an independent system.

You can manage instances after obtaining an authorized account and its password.

Enabling an Instance

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. Click More > Enable in the Operation column of a disabled instance. In the displayed dialog box, click OK. You can log in to a privacy compliance platform instance only after it is enabled.

Disabling an Instance

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. In the Operation column of a running instance, click More > Disable. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.

    The instance status will change to Stopped. A disabled instance cannot be logged in to.

Restarting an Instance

For maintenance purposes, if the system is abnormal, you can try restarting the instance (VM).

Instances in the Running status can be restarted. The restart takes about 5 to 10 minutes. During the restart, the instance is in the Restarting state and unavailable.

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. In the Operation column of an instance, click More > Restart Instance. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.

    To forcibly restart an instance, select Force restart in the Restart Instance dialog box. Forcibly restarting an instance may cause data loss. Ensure all data files have been saved and there are no operations in progress.

Restarting a Service

Multiple services can be deployed on one instance.

For maintenance purposes, if a service is abnormal, you can try restarting it and its processes. The restart takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and the instance status changes to Restarting.

  • You can restart an instance in the Running status.
  • The restart will interrupt system services for about 5 minutes. During this period, the status of the instance is Restarting.
  • The instance will be unavailable during the restart.
  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. In the Operation column of an instance, click More > Restart Service.

Unbinding an EIP

When an EIP needs to be rebound to or released from an instance, you need to unbind the EIP from the instance.

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. In the Operation column of an instance, click More > Unbind EIP.

  5. In the displayed dialog box, click Redirect to go to the instance details page on the network console.
  6. In the Operation column of an EIP, click Unbind. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.

Binding an EIP

To bind an EIP to an instance again, perform the following steps.

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. In the Operation column of an instance, click More > Bind EIP.

  5. In the displayed dialog box, click Redirect to go to the instance details page on the network console.
  6. In the EIPs area, click Bind EIP. In the displayed dialog box, select an EIP and click OK.

Checking Instance Details

  1. Log in to the DSC console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
  4. Click an instance name to go to its details page. Check the basic and network information about the instance.

    • Basic Information includes the instance name, creation time, instance ID, and instance specifications.
    • Network Information includes the VPC, security group, EIP, subnet, and private IP address.
