Disassociating VPCs from a Private Zone

Scenarios

If a private zone has been associated with multiple VPCs and you do not want the private domain name to be resolved in a VPC, you cannot disassociate the VPC from the private zone.

Constraints

  • If a private zone has only one VPC associated, the VPC cannot be disassociated from the private zone. To prevent the private zone from taking effect in the VPC, you can disable or delete the private zone. For details, see Disabling Record Sets and Deleting a Private Zone.
  • You can disassociate a maximum of 20 VPCs from a private zone at a time.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Private Zones page.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project.
  3. Select the private zone that you want to disassociate VPCs from and choose More > Disassociate VPC in the Operation column.
  4. Select VPCs as prompted.

You can filter VPCs by VPC name, VPC ID, or region.

  5. Review and confirm the VPC details, and then enter "DELETE".
  6. Click OK.
