Associating VPCs with a Private Zone

Scenarios

Enterprises often need stable connectivity and access control for their internal services or applications in the cloud. By associating a private zone with a specific VPC, you can efficiently manage and securely access internal resources.

You can associate a private zone with a new VPC on the private zone list page of the DNS console.

Constraints

• The VPCs you select must be the ones where your servers (such as ECSs) are. Otherwise, the domain name cannot be resolved.
• You can associate a maximum of 20 VPCs with a private zone at a time.
• A private zone can be associated with a maximum of 100 VPCs.
• The VPCs you associate at one time must be in the same region. To associate VPCs across different regions, repeat the association operation separately for each region.
• A private zone with recursive resolution proxy for subdomains, DNS Resolver, weight, or access logging enabled cannot be associated with a VPC that contains CloudDCN or CloudPond subnets. Otherwise, resolution will fail.

Procedure

1. Go to the Private Zones page.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project.
3. Locate the private zone that you want to associate the VPC with and click Associate VPC in the Operation column.
4. Select the region and VPCs as prompted.
   • Region: Select the region of the VPCs to be associated.
   • VPC: Select the VPCs to be associated. You can filter VPCs by VPC name or VPC ID.

   If there are no VPCs available, create one.

   

5. Click OK.

   The VPCs are displayed in the Associated VPCs column.
