Device Information

The system supports displaying information including device name, device location and DNS server address of the current system.

  • Network adapter information: covers IP address, gateway address, etc. Such parameters are normally configured via DSC during initial deployment or network environment modification.
  • DNS Server: Configure DNS server address. DNS configuration is mandatory if managed assets are accessed via domain names.

Configure network information using DSC according to the network environment plan. If the network configuration is incorrect, you may not be able to access the device via the network web. In this case, connect directly to the device and reconfigure the network information.

Viewing Device Information

  1. Logging in to the Database Operations and Maintenance Management System using the sysadmin system administrator account.
  2. Select System Settings > Device Information on the left navigation bar.
  3. The page displays the network card information of the system.

    Parameter

    Description

    Host Name

    The device name of the system.

    Ethernet card

    Includes network card name, IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred DNS, DNS2, and DNS3. It displays information for multiple system network cards.
