Viewing History

The View History function supports comparison of data collation results between two different versions of discovery task outcomes.

Detailed Steps to View History

  1. Logging in to the Database Operations and Maintenance Management System using the sysadmin system administrator account.
  2. Select Ops Asset Management > Ops Asset Control from the left navigation bar to load the asset control list page.
  3. Select an Ops asset control entry and click the Config button to open a new browser page.
  4. Select Sensitive Data Discovery to display the list of sensitive data discovery tasks.
  5. Pick one sensitive data discovery task, click More and select View History to redirect to the View History page.
  6. Select two discovery version cards for comparison in the History Details area.
  7. Click the Search button in the Result Compared area; the collation differences between the two versions will be displayed in the below list. Comparison covers three dimensions: field Data Domain, Masking rules, and Confirm or not status (whether confirmation is completed).
  8. Check Only show different data to filter out identical data of the two versions for clearer comparison; this option is checked by default.
  9. In the Result Compared area, you may specify Schema, table and column to perform precise conditional comparison.

Related Operations

Subsequently, you can perform the following operations on the Sensitive Data Discovery page as needed:

  • Show Differences Only: Checked by default. It filters out identical data between two versions for clearer result comparison.
  • Prerequisite for using the View History function: The target discovery task shall have at least two saved discovery result versions; otherwise, cross-version comparison is unavailable.
