Editing or Deleting a Project
- Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator (sysadmin) account.
- Select Project Management from the left navigation tree.
- View the project list; when you hover your mouse over a project that needs to be edited, the Edit button will appear, as shown in Figure 1. Click Edit; the system will then display an interface identical to that used for creating new projects (for detailed information, please refer to Creating a Project).
- Follow the prompts to reconfigure the project information, then save and exit.
Alternatively, as needed, click Delete to remove an item.
- Asset uniqueness: A single Asset Database should not be used across multiple data projects. This is because data projects typically rely on specific data source assets for data processing and analysis; if a single Asset Database were shared by multiple data projects, it could lead to data conflicts, confusion in permission management, or performance issues.
- Dependency: When creating or modifying data items, ensure that the dependent data source asset already exists and is not being used by any other data item.
- Backup Configuration: Before performing any editing or deletion operations, it is recommended to back up the relevant configurations as a precaution.
- Contact the administrator: If you are unsure whether the data source asset is already in use, it is recommended to contact the system administrator for confirmation.
