Enabling Memories

Project-level memories record your usage preferences in the current project and take effect only in this project. Memory files are stored at %USERPROFILE%/.codeartsdoer/memory/<project-path>-<project-name>. The following steps show how to enable memories in the TUI.

  1. Enter the TUI development environment.

    1. Open the root directory of the target project.
    2. Right-click in the blank area and select Open Windows Terminal here.
    3. In the terminal, enter codearts and press Enter to enter the TUI environment.

  2. In the chat box, type / and select /memory/enable to enable project-level memories.
  3. After the memory function is enabled, simply chat with the AI. The system automatically records your usage preferences.

In addition to automatic recording, you can send the following instructions to let the AI actively manage memories:

    • Remember ***: Save explicit memories immediately.
    • Delete ***: Delete existing memories.
    • Organize existing memories: Manually review and optimize existing memories.
