Enabling Experience Capture
The following steps show how to enable experience capture in the TUI.
- Enter the TUI development environment.
- Open the root directory of the target project.
- Right-click in the blank area and select Open Windows Terminal here.
- In the terminal, enter codearts and press Enter to enter the TUI environment.
- Enter /run-mode. Then, select Auto and press Enter to set the run mode to Auto.
- Enter /experience/enable to enable experience capture.
Once enabled, the system automatically extracts experiences from the following sources and stores the generated experience files under %USERPROFILE%/.codeartsdoer/experience-reuse/experiences:
- User coding behavior: routine development tasks such as bug fixes, performance tuning, and code reviews
- Project repositories: recurring bugs, major technical decisions, and project best practices
- Daily review and mining: code changes, bug logs, review comments, and technical discussions
- Proactive maintenance: manually adding, editing, or correcting experience entries
- Enter /experience/use to enable experiences.
Once enabled, the AI automatically searches and applies relevant experiences at the start of each chat to provide you with better answers.
- Enter /experience/reflect/enable to enable periodic reflection.
- Enter /experience/reflect/set to define your reflection interval. Figure 1 Setting a reflection interval
After configuration, the system automatically performs reflection within the specified interval and saves reports to %USERPROFILE%/.codeartsdoer/experience-reuse/reflect-reports.
If you do not perform any operations within the specified interval, the AI will review the previous day's experience.
