Adding Resources
You can manually add servers, databases, and middleware resources.
Prerequisites
You have installed the MgC Agent. For details, see Installing the MgC Agent.
Adding a Server
- Sign in to the MgC Agent console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Resources.
- Click Add Resource above the list.
- Configure the parameters listed in Table 1.

Access Mode
Access IP Address: Enter the access IP address, which can be a public or private IP address of the resource. The MgC Agent will use this IP address to remotely access the resource and collect its details.
NOTE:- To collect the process details and network associations from a Windows server, you must provide its private IP address.
- To collect the process details and network associations from a Linux server, you can provide either its public or private IP address. However, you are advised to provide the private IP address.
Access Address: Enter the connection address of the resource. For example, if the resource you add is a cloud database server, you can enter database access address. The MgC Agent will use this address remotely connect to the resource.
Access Port
Enter the accessible port of the server.
- The port defaults to 5985 on Windows and can be modified.
- The port defaults to 22 on Linux and can be modified.
Host (Optional)
Select the corresponding host from the drop-down list.
Credential (Optional)
Select the corresponding credential from the drop-down list.
- Click OK. You can view the resource in the list.
Adding a Database
The supported types of database resources include PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Oracle.
Adding database resources follows the same steps. The following uses PostgreSQL as an example.
- Sign in to the MgC Agent console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Resources.
- Click Add Resource above the list.
- Configure the parameters listed in Table 2.

Access Mode

Adding a Middleware Resource
The supported types of middleware resources include Redis and Kafka.
Adding middleware resources follows the same steps. The following uses Redis as an example.
- Sign in to the MgC Agent console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Resources.
- Click Add Resource above the list.
- Configure the parameters listed in Table 3.
