What Types of Storage Does RDS Use?

RDS uses Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks for storage. For details, see Elastic Volume Service Service Overview.

RDS backups are stored in OBS and do not occupy your purchased storage space. For details on RDS instance storage configurations, see Object Storage Service User Guide.
