How Do I Handle a Failed Login Attempt?

User Login Failure

Symptom

An error shows up when a login attempt fails, asking you to try again.

Cause Analysis

Check these potential issues if you are on the company intranet:

• The system uses a proxy (either set up by you or as default), but you have not provided the necessary username and password for authentication.
• Your proxy settings are either missing or incorrectly configured.

Solution

1. Return to CodeArts Agent IDE or Visual Studio Code and check if the proxy authentication dialog box appears.
   • If the dialog box appears, enter your username and password as prompted. You may select Remember my credentials for convenience and click Sign In.
   • If the dialog box does not appear, configure a proxy by referring to Network Proxy.

2. Sign in again once you finish entering your identity details or setting up the proxy.
   • If the login is successful, no further action is required.
   • If the issue persists, submit a service ticket to get help from Huawei Cloud customer service.

Login Failure Due to Disabled Extension

Symptom

After CodeArts Agent IDE is successfully installed, clicking the HUAWEI ID Login button does not respond.

Cause Analysis

The CodeArts Agent extension is disabled.

Solution

1. In the sidebar of CodeArts Agent IDE, click .
2. Click and choose Built-in.

3. Enter CodeArts Agent in the search box and click the search result to check the extension status.

   If the CodeArts Agent extension is disabled, click Enable to enable it.

4. Return to the CodeArts Agent chat panel and click HUAWEI ID Login to log in again.
   • If the login is successful, no further action is required.
   • If the issue persists, submit a service ticket to get help from Huawei Cloud customer service.
