Encryption Configuration

If encryption is enabled for a bucket, objects uploaded to it will be encrypted based on the specified encryption method before being stored in OBS. When you download these objects, OBS decrypts them first before returning them to you.

Currently, OBS Browser+ only supports the default KMS key.

Enabling Encryption for a Bucket

  1. Log in to OBS Browser+.
  2. Right-click the name of the target bucket.
  3. Choose Encrypt Bucket from the shortcut menu. In the displayed dialog box, select Enable, as shown in Figure 1.

  4. Click OK.

Disabling Encryption for a Bucket

  1. Log in to OBS Browser+.
  2. Right-click the name of the target bucket.
  3. Choose Encrypt Bucket from the shortcut menu. In the displayed dialog box, select Disable, as shown in Figure 2.

  4. Click OK.
