Rebuilding an Instance

Scenarios

You can rebuild an instance from the recycle bin to restore data.

Precautions

• You can rebuild DB instances within the retention period from the recycle bin.
• After an instance is deleted, the latest automated full backup of the previous day is retained. If no automated full backup of the previous day exists, the latest automated full backup is retained. Additionally, a full backup is performed. You can select either of the backups to rebuild the instance.

Procedure

1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and a project.
3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > Document Database Service.
4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Recycle Bin.
5. On the Recycle Bin page, locate the instance to be rebuilt and in the Operation column, click Rebuild.

6. On the displayed page, set required parameters and submit the rebuilding task. For details, see Restoring Data to a New Instance.
