How Can I Allocate Newly Added Space to a New Partition?
Windows
In Windows, if your disk already has a D: drive and you want to create an E: drive, see System Disk: Add Additional Space to New Volume (F:) and Data Disk: Add Additional Space to New Volume (E:) in the following section:
Linux
In Linux, if your disk already has, for example, partition /dev/vdb1 and you want to create a new partition, /dev/vdb2, and allocate the additional space to the new partition,
