Creating a New Project (Optional)
Scenario
Apart from importing MapReduce sample projects, you can also create a new MapReduce project using IntelliJ IDEA.
Procedure
- Open IntelliJ IDEA and choose , as shown in Figure 1.
- On the New Project page, select Java, and then configure the JDK and other Java libraries required by the project. Figure 2 shows the SDK information required for configuring a project. After the configuration is complete, click Next.
- Enter the name of the new project in the dialog box. Click Finish. Figure 3 Enter the project name
