Possible Causes of a Failure in Verifying a Host
If connectivity verification fails for a host, check the following items:
- Username and password.
- Startup status.
- Ports: Check that ports on the host have been enabled.
- Firewall policy: Run the iptables -L -n command to check whether access over port 22 is restricted.
- The IP address must be accessible from the public network. If you are using a private IP address, an SSH proxy is required.
- CentOS version: If the host is running CentOS, ensure that the CentOS version is 6.0 or later.
- Windows version: Ensure that your host is running a supported version and has been properly configured. For details, see "Host Configuration" in the User Guide.
