Installing SQL Server
- Double-click Setup.exe to open the SQL Server installation center. Figure 1 SQL Server installation center
- On the Installation page, click the first option. Figure 2 SQL Server installation options
- Select Specify a free edition to install SQL Server with a free image.
To set up an official SharePoint environment, you need to enter a key to install a full edition of SQL Server.

- Select I accept the license terms and click Next. Figure 4 SQL Server license option
- Click Next to install Microsoft Updates, Install Rules, and Setup Role using the default settings.
- Click Select All to select all features and click Next. Figure 5 SQL Server Feature Selection
- Select Default instance. Figure 6 SQL Server instance
- Set SQL Server configurations.
- Change the account name of SQL Server Database Engine to NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE.
- Set the account and password of SQL Server Analysis Services to those configured in steps 11 to 13 in Adding AD, DHCP, DNS, and IIS Services.

- Click Add Current User to set the current account as the SQL Server administrator account, and click Next. Figure 8 SQL Server administrator account 1
- Click Add Current User to grant Analysis Services administrator permissions to the current account, and click Next. Figure 9 SQL Server administrator account 2
- Retain the default setting in Reporting Services Configuration and click Next. Figure 10 Reporting Services Configuration
- Click Add Current User to grant Distributed Replay Controller service permissions to the current account, and click Next. Figure 11 Distributed Replay Controller
- Confirm SQL Server configurations and click Install. Figure 12 SQL Server installation
- Click Close. The SQL Server installation is complete. Figure 13 Finish SQL Server installation
