Managing Quotas

Scenarios

Quotas are enforced for service resources on the platform to prevent unforeseen spikes in resource usage. For example, the maximum number of RDS DB instances that can be created varies depending on the DB instance type. You can apply for increasing quotas if necessary.

This section describes how to view the usage of each type of RDS resource and the total quotas in a specified region.

Viewing Quotas

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and a project.
  3. Click Service List. Under Database, click Relational Database Service. The RDS console is displayed.
  4. In the upper right corner of the RDS console, choose Resources > My Quotas.

  5. View the resource usage and total quota of RDS resources.
  6. If a quota cannot meet service requirements, click Increase Quota to adjust it.

Increasing Quotas

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and a project.
  3. Click Service List. Under Database, click Relational Database Service. The RDS console is displayed.
  4. In the upper right corner of the RDS console, choose Resources > My Quotas.
  5. Click Increase Quota.
  6. Configure parameters as required.

    In the Problem Description area, fill in the content and reason for adjustment.

  7. After all required parameters are configured, select the agreement and click Submit.
