Buying a Dedicated Container Instance

Before purchasing a dedicated container instance, submit an application for provisioning the dedicated container instance.

Applying for Service Provisioning

  1. Log in to the CCI console. In the navigation pane, choose Dedicated Container Instances. On the page displayed on the right, click Apply for Service Provisioning.
  2. On the Apply for Dedicated Container Instance page, set the following parameters:

    • Name

      Applicant name.

    • Email

      Work email address of the applicant.

    • Phone Number

      Contact information of the applicant.

    • Estimated Resource Usage

      Currently, GPU-accelerated and General-computing are supported.

    • Service Scenario

      Enter a description, which cannot exceed 200 characters.

  3. Click Submit.

    After the application is submitted, a message is displayed, indicating that the application for provisioning the dedicated container instance is submitted successfully. The application status changes to Reviewing. After the administrator approves the application, you can buy a dedicated container instance.

Buying a Dedicated Container Instance

  1. Log in to the CCI console. In the navigation pane, choose Dedicated Container Instances. On the page displayed on the right, click Buy Dedicated Container Instance.
  2. Specify the flavor of the dedicated container instance and the required duration.

    • Flavor
      • GPU-accelerated: GPU-accelerated servers provide excellent floating-point computing power, which is ideal for scientific computing scenarios such as AI and genomic sequencing.
      • General-computing: General-computing servers and high-performance computing (HPC) servers are supported.

        General-computing servers provide stable performance and exclusive resources and meet enterprise-grade application requirements.

        HPC servers provide higher performance and stability with more CPUs and local disks, and meet enterprise-grade application requirements.

    • Required Duration

      Set the duration based on actual requirements.

  3. Click Pay Now.

    After you make the payment, the order status is displayed as Instances being created on the dedicated container instance list page.

    After the administrator activates the dedicated container instance resources you applied for, you can use the dedicated container instance to create workloads.

  4. In the navigation pane, choose Namespaces. Create a namespace by following the procedure provided in Namespace.

    After you create a namespace, it will be displayed in the namespace list. The namespace with a V icon indicates that the namespace is dedicated. Workloads created in the namespace will be scheduled to dedicated nodes.
