Creating Static Threshold Templates
This function takes effect only in CN North-Beijing1 and CN East-Shanghai2.
Static threshold templates are used for creating multi-resource threshold rules. For how to create a multi-resource threshold rule, see Using a Static Threshold Template to Create a Multi-Resource Threshold Rule.
Precautions
- You can create a maximum of 50 static threshold templates. If the maximum number has been reached, delete unnecessary templates and create new ones.
- Setting a notification policy To send email or Short Message Service (SMS) notifications if the threshold rule status (Exceeded or OK) changes, set a notification policy on the SMN console according to the following procedure. If you do not need to receive notifications, skip the following procedure. The procedure is as follows:
- Create a topic according to Creating a Topic.
- Set a topic policy according to Configuring Topic Policies.
Select apm for Services that can publish messages to this topic. Otherwise, notifications cannot be sent.
- Add a subscriber, that is, the email or SMS notification recipient, for the topic according to Adding a Subscription.
Creating Static Threshold Templates
- Log in to the Application Performance Management (APM) console. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Center > Threshold Rules.
- Click the Static Threshold Template tab, and then click Create Static Threshold Template.
- Create a static threshold template as prompt. Enter a template name, set parameters such as Name, Resource Type, Statistic Method, and Threshold Condition, Alarm Severity, and Send Notification.
- Statistic Method: Method used to measure metrics.
- Threshold Condition: Trigger condition of a threshold alarm. A threshold condition consists of two parts: determination condition (≥, ≤, >, or <) and threshold value. For example, if Threshold Condition is set to > 85 and an actual metric value exceeds 85, a threshold alarm will be generated.
- Consecutive Period: If a metric value meets the threshold condition for a specified number of consecutive periods, a threshold alarm will be generated.
- Statistical Cycle: Interval at which metric data is collected.
- Send Notification: Whether to send email or SMS notifications when the static threshold rule status (Exceeded or OK) changes.
- If you want to receive email or SMS notifications, select Yes, set a notification policy, select a created topic, and select a trigger scenario.
- If you do not need to receive email or SMS notifications, select No.
- Trigger Scenario: Condition for sending a notification. The trigger condition can be Threshold crossing or Normal. For example, to receive a notification when the threshold status changes to Exceeded, select the Threshold crossing trigger scenario.
