OBS Tools

Object Storage Service (OBS) provides users with various tools, facilitating access to OBS. For detail, see Table 1.

Table 1 OBS tools

OBS Browser+

OBS Browser+ is a GUI-based tool for managing OBS on your local Windows operating systems. You can create buckets, upload/download files, and browse files on OBS Browser+.

OBS Browser

OBS Browser is similar to the Windows resource manager. It provides basic functions that enable you to manage buckets and objects locally. For example, through OBS Browser, you can browse files stored in OBS, upload files to OBS, download them, and configure lifecycle rules.

obsutil is a command line tool for accessing Object Storage Service (OBS). You can use this tool to perform common configurations in OBS, such as creating buckets, uploading and downloading files/folders, and deleting files/folders. If you are familiar with command line interface (CLI), obsutil is recommended as an optimal tool for batch processing and automated tasks.

obsftp is a tool that associates the FTP server capability of the pyftpdlib library with OBS, to provide the cloud storage with the FTP access capability. Therefore, you do not need to build an FTP server and storage pool to implement FTP access. OBSFTP makes the lightweight service and O&M a reality, greatly reducing the costs for implementing FTP access technologically.

obsfs, built on the basis of Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE), is a file system tool provided by Object Storage Service (OBS) for mounting buckets to Linux operating systems. It enables you to easily access the infinite storage space on OBS in the same way as you operate the local file system.
