Can I Recover My Disk Data If the Disk Is Unsubscribed from, Deleted by Mistake, or Released After the Retention Period Ends?

If you have enabled EVS recycle bin, check whether the deleted disk is in the recycle bin. In the recycle bin, disks can be stored for a maximum of 7 days.
  • If the deleted disk is in the recycle bin, data can be recovered. For details, see Recovering a Disk from the Recycle Bin.
  • If the deleted disk is not in the recycle bin, go to the next step.

Check whether a disk backup is available.

  • If a backup is available, you can use it to restore data. If you use a backup to create a disk, the disk will contain the backup data in its initial state. For details, see Using a Backup to Create a Disk.

Disks created from backups do not need to be initialized. Initialization destroys any data that was on the disk.

  • If no backups are available, the disk data cannot be recovered.
