Dedicated Distributed Storage Service
Dedicated Distributed Storage Service (DSS) provides you with dedicated storage resources. With data redundancy and cache acceleration technologies, DSS can deliver highly reliable, durable, low-latency, and stable storage resources. By flexibly interconnecting with various computing services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) and Dedicated Compute Cluster (DCC), DSS is perfect for different scenarios, such as high performance computing (HPC), online analytical processing (OLAP), and hybrid loads.

Elastic Cloud Server
An ECS is a computing server consisting of CPUs, memory, images, and Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks that allow on-demand allocation and elastic scaling. ECSs integrate virtual private cloud (VPC), virtual firewalls, and multi-data-copy capabilities to create an efficient, reliable, and secure computing environment. This ensures stable and uninterrupted operation of services. After creating an ECS, you can use it like using your local computer or physical server.
Elastic Volume Service
Elastic Volume Service (EVS) is a scalable virtual block storage service that is based on the distributed architecture. You can perform operations on EVS disks online. The method for using EVS disks is the same as that for using hard disks on physical servers.EVS disks provide higher data reliability and I/O throughput and are more user-friendly than traditional hard disks. EVS disks can be used for file systems, databases, and system software or applications that require block storage devices.

Region
Regions are divided from the dimensions of geographical location and network delay. Public services, such as Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region. Users can select a region closest to them to reduce access latencies.
