Adding Tableau Desktop Data Source

Scenario

This section describes how to add a DLI connection in Tableau Desktop.

Procedure

  1. Open Tableau Desktop and choose Other Databases (ODBC) in the navigation pane. See Figure 1.

  2. In the displayed Other Database (ODBC) dialog box, select DLIODBCSysDS for DSN and click Connect. In this step, name DLIODBCSysDS is only for reference. Use the actually registered name during DLI ODBC installation. See Figure 2.

  3. After the connection is complete, click Sign In to log in to the database. See Figure 3.
